Bonjour,
Voici l’annonce originale:
Hi team,
We’ve introduced a new feature: manual water flow calibration.
This feature allows you to calibrate both no-flow conditions and active water usage, ensuring that your flow readings and overall scaling are accurate.
How this calibration works
To calculate true flow, we need the inner pipe diameter. Since we can usually only measure the outer diameter, we rely on pipe templates. However, pipe wall thickness varies by country and can also change over time (aging, buildup), which can lead to inaccuracies. This feature solves that. It works in two steps:
- A baseline measurement when no water is running
- A calibration using a known amount of water (1–20 liters / 0.25–5 gallons)
This known volume is used as a reference to correctly scale your flow.
It should also resolve cases of phantom flow (~1 l/min), if you’ve experienced that.

What this does (and doesn’t do)
This calibration adjusts how flow is measured and stored directly in the HUB, meaning all data — including Home Assistant — is properly calibrated.
However, it does not replace sensor calibration. If you experience poor signal, unstable readings, or no flow detection, you may still need to delete and re-add the sensor so it can properly set its ultrasound parameters.
Important notes
• This is not the same as the old scale factor (which only adjusted values in the app). If you previously used a scale factor, please set it back to 1 to avoid double scaling (under Settings / Account).
• After completing calibration, do not change your pipe type, as this will override the manual flow setup.
Where to find it
You can access this feature in Settings → Homes → [Your Home Name] → Sensors → Adjust Water Flow. The feature is available with:
- HUB version 1.11
- App version 1.4.2
If you don’t see it yet, please power cycle your HUB to trigger the update.
Ongoing work
We are continuing to work on sensor disconnection issues. These fixes take longer to validate, as each test requires extended real-world runtime before confirming stability.
We’re also preparing a new app data system (planned for May). We are moving away from the event-based system due to inconsistencies between Today, Trends, and Home Assistant values. Going forward, consumption will be based on raw data, while events (which inherently include some margin of error) will be handled separately.
